Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of iTaskSync: the iOS and Android apps and the web app at app.itasksync.com (the "Service"). The Service is provided by Moishe Aizen, an individual developer in Israel ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use iTaskSync.
- Give accurate account details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete My Account.
2. Households and your content
- The tasks, comments and other content you add ("your content") stay yours. You give us permission to store, sync and display your content only so we can run the Service for you and your household.
- Everything in a household is visible to all of its members, and any member can edit or delete tasks. If you leave a household, what you added stays with that household. Only invite people you trust.
- You're responsible for your content. Don't add anything unlawful, abusive or that infringes others' rights, and don't store sensitive information such as passwords or card numbers in tasks.
3. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service. For example, don't try to access other people's households or data, disrupt or overload our systems, reverse-engineer the apps except as the law allows, send spam, or use the Service for anything illegal. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
4. Free plan, ads and subscriptions
- The free plan includes ads. Optional Premium and Family subscriptions remove ads and add features, as described in the app.
- Prices: prices are set by Apple or Google in your local currency and may include taxes. The price that applies to you is the one shown in the app and store before you buy.
- On iOS and Android, subscriptions are bought and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and follow their terms. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- Auto-renewal: each subscription renews automatically for the same period (one month or one year) at the then-current price unless you cancel. On Apple, you must turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. On Google Play, you can cancel any time before the renewal date. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- Managing your subscription: manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings (iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions) or in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. If a free trial is ever offered, any unused part ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law, including Israel's Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, where it applies.
- We may change features or prices in the future. Price changes for existing subscriptions follow the store's rules, which include notifying you first.
5. Our service
We work hard to keep iTaskSync running and your data safe, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every notification or email will arrive on time. Please don't rely on iTaskSync alone for anything critical, such as medication or legal or financial deadlines. We may update, change or discontinue features. If we ever shut the Service down, we'll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
6. Intellectual property
The iTaskSync name, logo, apps and website (excluding your content) belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the apps for their intended purpose.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using iTaskSync and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring a claim where the law allows.
11. Apple App Store users
If you downloaded iTaskSync from the Apple App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's Standard EULA also applies, and where it conflicts with these terms, these terms govern to the extent permitted.
